Oasis Lily Platform Sandals Written on March 11, 2010, by Emma Cossey.

Ah Oasis, you really are spoiling us at the moment.

These Oasis Lily Platform Sandals are adorned with a flower/bow hybrid, leaving it half way between a shoe boot and a standard high heel.

I adore the front of the design, and the sole and high heel has an interesting texture which contrasts well with the suede upper.

They do look a little strange on the model on ASOS.com, which accentutes the block platform a little more than this image. At £80, they’re a cheaper yet luxurious looking alternative to the structural heels in the designer boutiques.

Classic heels from Sepatu Written on March 11, 2010, by Emma Cossey.

Classic shoes can often be overlooked for the quirky and artistic designs that designers like Irregular Choice bring out each season. That’s not a bad thing (variety is the spice of life after all) but it could mean we miss out on beautiful classic pairs of shoes like these ones on the left from Sepatu.

Priced at only £35, the Attina heels have a patent bow that contrasts well with the suede fabric.

Not familiar with the Sepatu brand? Here are a few more of their shoes to drool over.

Bottega Veneta woven wedge sandals Written on March 10, 2010, by AbiSilvester.

bottega-woven-wedges.jpgOnce again, wedges are big enough that designers can use them as a blank canvas for all manner of wonderful flights of fantasy. It’s one of those trends you can easily see going horribly wrong (think jelly-bean print, or goldfish), but Bottega Veneta has done well here to incorporate a look it’s already putting to excellent use in its bags: colourful weaving. £530 at Net-a-Porter
