I was surprised at how much H&M had stepped it up (oh dear, can’t stop with the shoe puns) when I visited the posh Midtown branch on Black Friday. Most pairs were around $25 to $30-something bucks.

We’re loving these square-toed satin pumps from Marni, which are given distinction and flair by the metallic strap that can be fitted over the front, or removed for a more classic style. That’s two very different looks in one - a great idea if you’re going for an investment purchase and are not convinced the hard metallics look will stand the test of time.
